I graduated high school yesterday evening. There will be some pictures up soon, though most will be by my mother, ~Rainforestgoddess, as she's the one who took them. The only one I've got up so far is my new ID.

Before the ceremony ~Graceofhearts, Megan, Nik, Neil and I got together at ~oxDevilkittenxo's house to take pictures. Our families were there too (hence how my mother and father, photographer extrordanaires, got pictures, though my dad doesn't have a dA). It was a lot of fun and soon we went to the ceremony where we received our diplomas. About halfway across the stage my hearing kipped out due to stress and I couldn't hear ANYTHING. It was really weird. I barely remember walking back up the stairs to my seat, actually. Weird experience.
Then we went to the banquet/dance. It was a lot of fun. Some shitty music, though there was some good music. We were able to convince Neil to dance to Haddaway, which was funny. He tried the Macerena, too, until he realized that he didn't know the moves LOL. Kaytlyn had a sore throat already and Nik and I lost our voices at random intervals all night from singing along as loud as possible. No slow dances, which disappointed me. I was looking forward to at least one. (Though the fact that they didn't play "Stairway to Heaven" really made me happy.)
At midnight we changed from our formal clothes to fun ones (I took out my third earring. It was hurting as I'd had to repierce it to get the earring in that afternoon. Turns out it was bleeding. It's still pretty swolen, almost 36 hours later) and went to the All Nite Grad event the parents put on for us! It's pretty much a dry grad thing to keep us occupied, safe and sober. It was fun. There was fake gambling, air-brush tattoos (I got Ariel the mermaid on my shoulder blade), candy, air hockey (I won the tournament we had, though I was trying to lose against Nik) and characatures.
That ended at about five am and the girls went back to Kaytlyn's to crash. We didn't end up sleeping though. We walked down the hill to Neil's house and found him and Nik. We then grabbed Neil's 2-man tent and the five of us went to the park across the road and slept in it, cuddled up like puppies. We woke two hours later and went back to Neil's. We tried watching The Fellowship of the Ring but all fell asleep again until noonish. Then we slowly convinced Neil to feed us. We watched The Princess Bride because Nik hadn't seen it and Kung Fu Panda because Katherine hadn't seen it. Then it was suddenly five pm and we called Kaytlyn's mum to pick us up. Then I went home and here I am.

I went with Nik (do any of you remember when I said I had a date to grad? I wasn't lying lol). We're just friends but I really like him. We both believe in becoming really good friends before dating someone, though, so it will be a little while before anything happens there. Because there were no slow dances, we didn't dance /together/. More like we both danced near each other. More like we both jumped near each other (as dancing doesn't mean the same thing anymore hahaha). Usually it was Katherine, Nik and I dancing at the All Nite Grad thing. We won a few prizes because we were often the only ones dancing and the DJ was happy with us. Katherine thinks Nik likes me too, which would be...well...awesome. I get that vibe, too. At one point it was just me and Katherine dancing and he was just watching. Intently. Katherine and I both figure he was looking at me, mostly, though I did that thing I do when I'm nervous and I can't look at someone's face. I swear, when we all danced in a circle I could look at everyone /except/ Nik. *sigh* OTL

'Nyways, I heard from Katherine, which was recently confirmed by Darby, that a certain "friend" has been telling Nik horrible things about me (I don't want to know, really. I'm curious but have no idea what she could possibly be saying). At Katherine's birthday party in April she said that she had liked him for awhile but was glad that we were going to grad together and it was cute etc etc. She usually likes about 10+ guys at once so I figured she wasn't too upset and could easily just cross Nik off of the possible guys to actually go for. Turns out that she's been trying to get him to not like me recently and that if we ever got together that she would definitely do something about it. Apparently going to grad counts as being together and is trying to "break us up" or something now. Luckily Nik's not retarded and is totally not falling for it at all. He hasn't acted weird around me lately or anything. I had no suspicions until Katherine mentioned it this morning. I can't believe this "friend" would do this, though after the recent shit she's been doing I wouldn't put it past her to sabotage my possible happiness.

My New Years' Resolution for 2011 was to find someone to be happy with. I'm not letting some bitch stand in my way. (Thank you, Darby, for reminding me!)

Canada Day's tomorrow. I'm hanging out with my friends. It'll be nice to not be alone. Every time I am today I start crying.
