So; it's a week until I'm going to be in Vancouver at my very first Anime Evolution!
TO BE BLUNT!...I'm really excited.
Original plans have changed; originally I was going with everyone for all three days, but
's mother didn't want to spend the whole weekend with us. I can understand that. So now we're going on the 13th as a day-trip.
Friday the 13th, you know. My lucky day. ^^
Anyways, we're (mostly) all dressing as Naruto characters. I'm bringing back my cosplay from 3 years ago as Tsunade (my hair's different now so I'm getting a wig ((hopefully it'll come in time))),
is going as Narue(!F!Naruto),
is Misa Amane and
is going to be not-Shippuden Hinata.
's going, too, but as Middle School Haruhi Fujioka from Ouran High School Host Club. (
's adorable. It's going to be amazing!)
's brother, Jack, (who I haven't seen in years, so it's going to be good to see him again) is going. I think he's going to be Gaara, but he might be Raito Yagami. I'm not sure...
We were going to be in the Cosplay Contest, too, but not enough of us knew what to do and Darby refuses to do the Hare Hare Yukai with us.
I'm still stoked. I hope that Little Kuriboh will be wandering around on Friday, since his panel isn't that day.
The only thing that could make this better is if Demyx Time and the Parle Productions group was going to be there. That would make my life to meet them!
I'm going to see a lot of my friends there, too! Xander
are going to be there along with some people that I know vaguely but not very well like Shimada.
If you're going to be there, please say hello! I'd love to see you!
So, as some of you know, I've had a Japanese Exchange student at my house for the past two weeks. His name is Kazufumi and he's so awesome! He loves anime and manga and Legends of Zelda. His english isn't too bad and, with a little bit of thinking, you can teach him a lot. He taught us japanese and a popular Japanese card game called Daifugo (Rich Man).
Every time we'd read manga or play video games he'd say "Oh. Engrish." Like it was surprising. lol
We watched Soul Eater with him (he'd heard of it but never seen it) which he liked and Ethan and I started watching The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya and he watched with us.
I hate anime's where the numbers are off from the story. It's irritating and forces me to work to watch. Ah well; it's funny and Haruhi is a lot like me!
He taught us the Hare Hare Yukai. The four of us (me and my siblings) plan to learn the dance perfectly then film it and email it to him. We're so glad to have his email. He was on the computer, emailing his parents, every day so hopefully we won't lose contact like we did with Kano, Waka and Risa.
He left this morning, back to Japan. We all cried, but the previous two weeks make it all worth it. It's amazing how close you can become with a total stranger in that short amount of time.
So, see you all around, weather at AE or not.
